Training Methodology

In order for any system to succeed it is not enough to provide all the functionality requested by the customer. It is necessary for the users of that system, to accept it as a tool to help them in their daily work. Having a system that is easy to use, simulates the real day-to-day work of the user and can be easily integrated into the daily routine triggers this acceptance. This can only be achieved by providing comprehensive classroom and hands on training to all users, then supporting the users during the launch of the project. Another main criteria for the success of a project, is to upgrade the capabilities of the local team at the customer site to a level that allows them to independently use and follow up their systems.

Taking both the previous points into consideration a comprehensive training plan has been developed. In this plan Your esteemed hospital staff, which will come in contact with the Oasis System, are divided into four groups:

- Group A Senior and middle management.
- Group B Professional Staff HMIS user group including doctors, nurses, laboratory, chemists, pharmacists, radiologists, catering staff, and all those engaged in providing direct Health Care to the patient.
- Group C Administrative Staff, HMIS users, including accountants, store managers, and receptionists.
- Group D Computer staff in Your esteemed hospital HMIS group should be involved in all system development phases and implementation (system analysts, programmers, operators, computer engineers).

Operational And Management Training

(a) These training courses will be given at Your esteemed hospital site.

" User Training courses related to the HMIS modules will be held at the hospital premises."

(b) All Oasis training programs will have a documented curriculum.

The objectives are:

  • To familiarize the users with the screens and reports of the Oasis HMIS modules directly related to their work.
  • The training will be dedicated to the HMIS module the user will work on as part of his daily routine. A demo system will be installed on the Server at the Hospital training center, simulating the exact environment at Your esteemed hospital.
  • The training will include theoretical and hands-on training on each of the modules, and its timing will be scheduled such that it is as near as possible to the launch of the system at the site, in order to confirm what has been learned with real experience. The objectives for this training are:
  • In depth training about the Oasis HMIS Modules
  • Answering any questions and comments that are raised by the users Real hands on exercise after real data has been migrated to the database.
On The Job Training :

After the users complete the classroom training, and after the system is setup at Your esteemed hospital, users will get the chance to enter real data and test the screens into a demo database, which is a copy of the final system. This will be beneficial because they will continue using the system after completing the training and they will incorporate the work on the system into the daily routine. During that testing period, the Implementation Team of BHC will always be available on site to support and help the users.

Your esteemed hospital IT Staff :

The team implementing this project will involve Your esteemed hospital IT staff in every phase of the project. This will automatically develop expertise internal to Your esteemed hospital about the project and allow them to take over the follow-up after the maintenance period ends, if Your esteemed hospital prefers it. Your esteemed hospital staff will be considered as part of the project implementation team and will be managed by the designated Project Manager. This means that they will be assigned tasks to help implement the modules.
