Facilitate
and speed up data selection. ِِAfter
entering the medical record number or
the patient Id the system will get the
default ordering doctor, episode and
location. Latter, the user can enter a
different doctor or select it from an
LOV. LOVs will be also available for the
location and the episode.

Provide
the Facility to ordering items in
batches. The user will be able to select
more than one item to be ordered at the
same time. For example a doctor can
order WBC and ESR at the same time.

Facilitate
items selection. The user will be able
to navigate to the needed item through a
customizable tree. The tree can be built
using the doctor’s favorite list or
the traditional structure of the items
of service. Also the user will be able
to select items using LOVs that will be
available for service department,
generic or the item description.

Allow
order conversation level isolation. The
user placing orders will be able to
concentrate on his own orders without
getting disturbed by orders placed
against the same patient by other users
(only the over order checking can be
propagated over the whole system).

Allow
more conciliated way of displaying item
details. All item details including
notes, dosage data, interaction,
reaction, formulary, and generic will be
shown altogether.

Allow
authorized user to order backdated
orders and will still make all necessary
checks to assure that the patient was
eligible to get the item in the date of
ordering.

Allow
the user to handle the orders using
pop-up menus that will include all the
actions that the user can take against
an order. These actions include:

Handle the order’s further
instructions.
2.
Handle the order’s multi-notes.
3.
Display the item details.
4.
Display the dosage scheduled for
pharmacy items.
5.
Discontinue the order.
6.
Print the TPN order form.
7.
Print the item order from.
8.
Authorize items.
9.
Cancel the order.

Allow
the user to browse the previous orders
using navigator style browsers. The user
can navigate through orders starting
from episode, doctor or service
department.

billing information related to the
current patient’s episode. This will
be of much help for private sections in
the hospital.
